Come explore the abundance of nature and learn how the wild plants growing around us can be used as food and medicine.
We'll wander around the gardens and nearby trail, exploring the identification, medicinal properties, and preparation of many of the common "weeds" and wildflowers we pass by every day. Oren will share practical knowledge based on his 20+ years experience in gathering, preparing, and using herbal medicine both at home and in clinical practice. Participants will gain usable knowledge they can implement right away to help maintain and restore health.
At the end of our medicinal plant walk, the conversation will continue around a pot of wild medicine tea that we will brew together.
Schedule
We will start with a 20 minute sit down talk at Chicory Blue, followed by the walkabout, and then finishing with brewing our medicinal tea together. Come early if you like to grab a bite to eat and/or a drink for the talk (Chicory Blue has wonderful food offerings!).
